Brenton Brown – Hosanna (Praise Is Rising) 
This week is Holy week and I have found myself wondering what it would have been like to see the King of kings riding into Jerusalem on a lowly donkey fulfilling prophecy that was given more than 500 years before. In Zechariah 9:9 it says “Say to Daughter Zion, See, your King comes to you, gentle and riding on a donkey, and on a colt, the foal of a donkey.” I can’t help but ponder what Jesus was thinking as the people waved palm branches and placed their cloaks on the ground shouting “Hosanna to the son of David!” “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Hosanna in the highest!” Then knowing in just a few days most would desert him. It makes my heart ache. Would my faith have been just as superficial? That is a terrifying thought. The people of Jesus’ generation had the Messiah in…
